I had to go back & look. Oregon was very much in the running for Olesh prior to him signing with Penn State. I seem to recall some favoring Olesh over Cure. Ploog was a back up plan when we missed on those two.
Yup, Olesh is a big pickup. If Sadiq does end up staying, it could allow Oregon to run some big 3 TE fronts, like the Harbaugh Stanford teams. With a RB like Davison, that could be an answer to Oregon's red zone issues.
Don’t forget they signed a 6’7” 5-star TE as well.

Cooper Perry (true freshman WR) hitting the portal. Didn't see that coming.
I sort of didn't and sort of did. He played a lot but he was going to end up a reserve once again behind EStew, Dakorien, and JMac in addition to Bair, Lott, and Hampton. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Dillon Gresham (who was out with a neck injury all season) and Jack Ressler (who had a torn Achilles this season) and how they address the depth in the WR room.

DL Xadvaien Sims has entered the portal. With rumors of A'Mauri coming back, it makes sense.
Would be a seriously big get to return the entire DL, along with keeping Wyatt as our pure speed rusher. Can't let anybody run on us next year if we want to get over the hump.
Currently, Oregon has 23 transfers and 17 graduating SRs. With around 105 players on the roster, Oregon will be replacing around 40% of the roster. Expecting it to be closer to around 50% by the time spring hits.
The middle guys who play 10-30% of the snaps and take on big roles when there are injuries are just getting totally hollowed out. Now it's grizzled vets followed by fresh-faced underclassmen.
We still haven't begun addressing the offensive line yet, so that's the number one thing I'm paying attention to. As of now, our starters next season would be Fox Crader, Kawika Rogers, Poncho, Dave Iuli, and Gernorris Wilson. Not terrible, but not national title contending.
