Find someone that plays free and picks his teammates up. Bittle could be that, and Stewart had his moments (within 2ft of the hoop), but find me a Joseph Young or a Dillon Brooks. Someone with some moxie.

I'd be okay with an N'Faly Dante or Jermaine Couisnard-type who's willing to take the big shots and carry the team.
Oregon now has a big hole to fill at PF with Evans leaving. Also lends some credence to the rumors going around that Shelstad is likely transferring as well.
Oregon is down bad now that Shelstad is gone. Rumors are flying that Wei, Phillips, and Pryor are leaving as well. Hard to blame anyone right now for jumping ship.
Some weird logic here: I keep reading that 'it's hard to blame X for leaving when nobody good is on the team'. If nobody good is on the team, then who is wanting all these players that are leaving? It only makes sense if Altman is just mailing it in at this point.
Sucks to see the exodus, but also, it feels like NIL dollars could be put to better use than we have been seeing the past several years.

It does feel like a reorienting of the program by better spending the money on a full team instead of just 3 "stars" that didn't produce much. Shelstad and Evans both feel like complementary players rather than guys you build an entire team around. The biggest issue they'll have next season is filling the leadership vacuum caused by having all the top players leaving.

I think jury is still out for Shelstad. He has potential to be a star still. He is very clutch, and just needs to clean up a few things.

I don't really think he's shown much leadership ability and his defense at times leaves a lot to be desired. His shot creating ability and movement without the ball also needs work.
So no additions, only subtractions. Minus the one subtraction that should have happened as soon as the season ended. I guess Mullens wants to see if UO can go winless in the BIG next year.

We can't add anyone yet, the transfer portal doesn't open until 4/7.

Technically, yes. But behind the scenes, we can talk to players agents and do a lot of work arounds. 247 is already reporting one player who is supposed to announce for portal soon is a heavy Ducks lean. So we might hear news on some names before 4/7.
