Offense has more hits, took more walks. Defense committed zero errors. The score is such an aberration. Super frustrating to know they could have, and likely should have one the game. Razor thin margin of error in a best of 3.

I just saw that Oregon set a record tonight, 17 stranded base runners is the most by a team in a 9 inning college baseball game.

Yeah no kidding! I do think Oregon plays a part cause they seem to get too excited at the plate and swing for the fences and oftentimes swing at bad pitches, but no doubt bad luck plays a role when it’s a number like 17. I’m no expert but it does seem like Oregon keeps their heads up at the plate rather than keeping them down to track the ball which indicates they’re swinging hard hoping to connect.

Obviously we can’t afford a better coach but gosh this game and Oregon collapsing in the postseason for the 5th straight season certainly makes me feel sour towards Waz. There was 0 reason to put Bell in for Twist with 2 outs in the 8th.

Oh well good season, proud that this team fought back, but they absolutely gave the game away.

Ya Bell has been collapsed on us too much this year, no clue why we went to him. I would have kept Twist in and let him finish what he started.

So sad. Should’ve been playing a game 3 tomorrow.

He’s done this so many times in his career, it’s not like we have Jimmie Sherfy as a closer, Bell is decent but has caused games to be way closer than they should all season with unnecessary walks. Twist was looking fine, had two quick outs and a walk, and Waz went full panic mode. At the very least let Twist end the inning and give Bell the 9th. Another year with questionable coaching decisions from Waz.
