Plus the snaps it’s getting their backups are invaluable. Guys like Matayo and Sadiq will be significantly better than they would’ve been.

Totally agree! Matayo and Sadiq are borderline stars waiting to happen.

My gut tells me we would have heard something if Burch was really season ending. So my money is on MCL and that we will see him in a couple more weeks.

No clue with Ferguson but he should definitely be back before the playoffs. I don't think we need him though as much as we need Buich.

We've got over 2 months before the Playoffs.

Ohio State's LT Josh Simmons is out for the year and Matayo was already causing havoc before he left the game. A healthy Burch gives us one of the 2 best DL's in the nation along with UGA.

What's the possibility of Florence coming back this season? Is he ever at practice? Would he be eligible for a medical redshirt?

I do think we need Burch if we're going to make a serious title run. We could win it without him (we just beat Ohio State), but everything gets easier with him on the field. Teams that win have dudes like him.

I just heard on ESPN yesterday that Texas A&M has one of the best D-Lines in the country, as well. Mike Elko has really turned them around since the season opening loss to Notre Dame.

I’m having a hard time believing this, while Lanning is very vague and quiet about injuries he usually is transparent when someone is out for the season.

Valid point-as noted a rumor

As of yesterday’s article he is “day by day, week by week”, per Lanning

Didn’t mean it as you’re wrong, the rumor could be true. I just feel like usually Lanning will flat out say in a very blunt and grumpy fashion if anyone is out for an extended period of time. Everyone else is “day to day”.

I always feel like early season injuries for say, half the season, are not always a terrible thing. The games they sit out are games they won't have season ending injuries in, so they will be available at the end of the season when the games are more important and having quality depth can be a difference maker. It's less important to have TFerg healthy now than for the CFP, especially if Saddiq of Herbert get hurt. Having stars get healthy at the end of the year is like getting reinforcements at a critical time of a battle. Of course, having no injuries is best, but it is not realistic to expect that.

I wonder if NIL is affected when these transfer guys are out for the season. Fans here don't really know Bedford, so he can't be making much from an organic use of his name, image, and likeness. I readily admit I don't really understand how the money works, but is it possible that Coach Lanning thinks he would be damaging their monetizing by saying they are out for the season? Anyway, I tend to believe the rumor, Lanning's reticence notwithstanding.

So I believe with the upcoming revenue sharing with the athletes, the Courts have said that NIL deals have to specific and can't just be "Billy Booster has 100K for you to go Oregon" but more of a "Killer Burger is offering 25K to be a KB spokesperson" or something more specific to business interests than a straight pay-for-play scheme.
