Regarding Penn State’s schedule, here are a couple of interesting stats. Penn State’s strength of schedule through four weeks ranks 136th out of 136 FBS teams, in addition all four teams Oregon has played are ranked higher than all three teams Penn State has played according to Sagarin ratings. Between both teams here are the opponents rank according to Sagarin ratings:

82 - Montana State
83 - Northwestern
101 - Oregon State
117 - Oklahoma State
137 - Florida International
152 - Nevada
159 - Villanova

Man, I came here to post about this guy and his ability to breakdown positions and schemes so well. You beat me to it! I thoroughly enjoyed watching him break down Oregon's offense, especially the linemen, since I've never been able to analyze what makes that position good or bad. He made it pretty clear.

I’ve been listening to some Oregon podcasts that have featured Penn State insiders, and based off these insiders might as well give Penn State the national championship now and Oregon shouldn’t even bother showing up.

Totally agree with this. I watched a couple of his videos yesterday and they were both outstanding. His ability to clearly communicate the X's and O's - especially on the O-line was extremely helpful.

I think Penn State running backs will get to the third level numerous times. How well the Oregon DBs tackle when that happens will be huge in keeping the Penn State score down.

On the Oregon side I am wondering whether Whittingham will play this week. I think running the ball this week is going to require our backs over coming our O-line not being able to physically dominate. I fear Northwestern exposed some flaws in our run game for all to see.

On paper PSU should be better at pass defense than run defense, but I actually have more faith that in our passing game carrying us this week.

Ducks are going to play a bunch of 12 or 21 personal to help chip/block on the edges. expect a lot of checkdowns and screens. Sadiq will need to go off (blocking and catching) for the offense to stay ahead of the sticks.

Split backs with Davison/Lamar as a lead blocker is also an interesting look we have seen a few times this year. Might get a heavy dose of that Saturday as well.

Kyle will be on the sidelines at Utah. Don't think he has any eligibility left and probably couldn't crack the Ducks' rotation anyway.

If Conerly stayed one more year I think the ducks win by 2+ scores, but with World getting pushed back we will either need to take a weapon out of the passing game to double up Dennis-Sutton or the pocket will have to move away from him to give Dante time. With World’s performance against Oregon State I’m just having a hard time seeing Oregon get explosive plays and to be able to consistently move the ball. I anticipate some drives that look good but a hold by World or a sack by Dennis-Sutton causes the drive to completely stall. I hope I’m wrong but I just don’t think World is anywhere close to being ready for this level of competition.

Landon joined the QB11 show on their podcast that just came out today, it’s a really good listen.

I do think Penn State is beatable. I actually think their offense could be slowed down, but nervous our D isn’t the right fit to exploit their weaknesses.

Also our offense hasn’t been tested at all. Going from 0 to playing during a night game white out against a really good Penn State team coming off a bye… it just doesn’t really get my confidence up.

Hope for a win! But I’m expecting a loss.
