What if Oregon wore all white/silver kits? Steal their white out, and their lunch money too.

I think you are describing what I call the "Chrome Trooper" uniform. It seems that Oregon under Lanning has a propensity to steal their opponents thunder. A good example is 'Jump Around' at Wisconsin.

This game is definitely hard to predict. What I think will happen is Penn State wins a close one with experience being the main reason (ducks are a young team), but later the ducks get revenge in either the B1G championship game or playoffs. Plus Oregon is just 1 spot outside of the top 5 so Penn State has a chance.

Had 4 big questions to start the year

#1. Can our defense/Tosh show up in big games?
#2. Can we deal with the losses of Tez and Evan at WR?
#3. How will Dante Moore look as a full time starter?
#4. Will our offensive tackles hold up, especially World.

I'm not worried about #2 and #3 anymore. We have 4 good to very good WR's and 2 elite TE's. Dante Moore is a freakin' stud.

I would add, that I have one new question, which is, "do we have a very good running back that can play or a bunch of just above average guys and high level talent that's not really ready?

#1 is the big one for me. We got away with it because our offense was damn near perfect last year in the B1G championship game, but we can't blow coverages constantly and give up 300+ yards rushing and expect to win this.

Watching Penn State, Allar doesn't seem in sync with the new WR's yet. They are more talented, but the chemistry hasn't been there in terms of timing in the passing game.

Their defensive line and their #1 corner are very good players, but I'm meh on the rest of their defense.

Just a casual fan, but I can't understand how they are supposed to be so improved when they have lost Abdul Carter and Tyler Warren. Warren in particular tore up the Ducks last year.

Me too. They have an outstanding O-Line and two of the best RBs in the nation. If we keep playing the way we have been by giving up chunk plays of yardage on the ground that allows them to control the ball and the clock, we might be in trouble. We may have no choice but to sell out to stop the run, but then that leaves our young secondary vulnerable.

I hope James Franklin continues his losing streak in big games this week.

Getting a lead early on should be important. Through 3 games, the PSU Offense is something like 73rd in Efficiency so if there's an area to exploit, its if we can get a lead and force them to be more one-dimensional.

I don't want to see Dante bowling anyone over, but him using his legs and making the occasional scramble has been nice to see from him since Stein just needs him to move the sticks and stay on schedule.

How's Penn State's defensive backfield? It feels a little like this is going to be our pass game against their run game.

Does anybody have intel on NW? I feel like our RB room is so much better when our true #1 is softening up the defense, then has to deal with Limar, Hill, Riggs, Hughes, etc. Not the same without #6. Hopefully they've been resting him for this game.

In addition, NW makes the D pay more attention to the run, bringing safeties up, and opening the deep ball more. More balance, more opportunities. To me, that is what has been lacking the past two weeks. NW changes things.

Also, I agree that we should be wearing the Storm Trooper Unis. Steal the white out. Embrace the white out. BE the white out. I can't wait to see Ducks vs Them to see how DL uses this! A thought I had was "What if Autzen were to have been loud when we were on offense in the CW. There's no better place to prep for a loud environment than Autzen!" May have been disrespectful for the team to suggest this, but it would've been cool to employ.

GY posted the Mummy cleats so I think White will definitely be the base palette for the colors but it makes me think that we'll use some of our Dark Green since the cleats turn Green. Maybe something like Green-White-Green-White to go against the White-Blue-White-Black that PSU will wear.

We're still undefeated in B1G play and I think we're going to be ready for this as a statement game for us. I think the motivation might be something like "Walk into your trap, take over your trap" and maybe that's why we've got the Mummy theme.

Yeah I hope he's healthy and playing in this game.

I’m betting we see a true rotation at RB, DL and lb. I’m still betting by SC, you see the try true Fr and Whittington at RB, with Limar getting a couple plays a game. I also think Washington, Grey and Alexander are a top flight interior, we have just been trying out different formations to see what works and doesn’t. And we got caught shifting and it getting set when teams hike the ball, which made them look worse than it really is. The DT can’t be flat footed taking on blockers.

Penn State's schedule has been even easier than ours. But to give up only 3 points through the first 59 minutes of all 3 of their games is pretty impressive.

Our offense will struggle in their hostile environment. If our D can come to play, we have a chance. I think Penn State's offense is pretty weak compared to some of the other offenses in our conference.

I think theyll stack the box and throw the young dbs to the wolves(so to speak). And IMO they win that battle. Oregon wins as time expires with a 55 yard field goal. And Franklin blames others but takes none for himself.
