Im curious if we get traditional let them be physical at all levels on both sides of the ball refs or the new age PAC 12 (10) throw a PI flag on every incomplete pass more than 10 yards down field because it creates more opportunities for more points. I’m not normally a complainer about refs but the last few games I would bet my last dollar at least some on those crews were old PI happy PAC12 (10) refs.

Lot of stuff in this article I hadn't thought of before, and now I am starting to get worried.

This is more of a Washington State comment than a James Madison one, but it puts JMU in some context.

Did anyone realize that Washington State lost to Virginia only by 2 (20-22), Ole Miss by 3 (21-24), and James Madison by 4 (20-24)? Three playoff and fringe playoff teams and I had completely forgotten about the Virginia game.

And then somehow lost to a historically bad OSU team.

I think Oregon is going to give JMU some more experience in trailing in games. apparently, they see that as a good thing, so it's a win-win...

One of the more interesting nuggets in this game is the coaches exiting and entering.

Bob Chesney is going to UCLA and I think we play them next year as we rotate between the LA schools.

Billy Napier is taking over at JMU and some of these G6 schools could find themselves as the "upper-echelon" of the AQ schools and Napier seems better positioned to make the playoffs at JMU than Chesney does at UCLA.

Actually the Ducks play both LA schools in 2026 (just like UW did in 2024), UCLA at home and USC away.

Also sounds like Napier himself might assist in JMU's prep for this game.
