They outplayed us score non withstanding?

By what metric.

You are a jackass. Sit down bro. Or put the booze down.
My avatar Norm Van Brocklin wouldn't find this performance acceptable and he would agree we got outplayed, especially in the second half, which saw JMU outscore us 28-17. It's worse than that because one of our touchdowns only happened because the JMU punter managed to clap his own guy's cheeks with the kick. This was an embarrassing performance all around, and if the Dutchman was still alive and coaching he'd have the entire roster running stadium stairs until they all puked uncontrollably.

Oh, and I don't drink, thanks.

The silver lining is that Coach Lanning has all the ammo he needs to motivate the team to hit it hard this week in practice. This was the layoff game and it wasn't against Ohio State, so they got away with it. I expect renewed energy from the Duck defense next week and we will be glad the backups got so many snaps tonight even if they didn't look good.

Let me try to say it this way, I don’t feel that second half performance lessens my belief of how far Oregon can go, I still think they can beat Tech and Indiana and make it to the natty and have a chance against Ohio State or Georgia.

However I am very disappointed in the effort from a pride perspective, Dan tells these guys it’s a privilege to wear the green and yellow: and for guys on the reserves who are playing for a spot next season and maybe even a starting spot, it’s very disappointing to see a lack of effort during their time to shine. That to me is fair for a duck fan to criticize.

But this does not change how good of a team Oregon is, when this team is firing and playing to their potential and not shooting themselves in the foot they can win it all.

In a weird way I think this will be a lot like the Northwestern game in that you got the win and have a ton to improve on.

Good win, but don’t feel great about it. Don’t know where to pin the blame. Amazing first half. Complete 180 second.

Time for Tosh to move on. He won't be here next year and doesn't give a Rats Ass about the Ducks season ahead. This 2nd half was more than embarrassing. Good Luck against Texas Tech..

There wasn’t a winning team outside of Ole Miss that can be completely happy about their performance.

OF4L said exactly what I was thinking. I couldn’t have said it better. From the optics standpoint it doesn’t look that great but the reality is Oregon absolutely dominated JMU in every phase in the 1st half and most of the 3rd.

It wasn’t even close.

I can forgive completely checking out after you have an insurmountable lead. It happens and you learn from it and hope you don’t get burned in learning it (like 2022 Civil War).

For what it’s worth most of the guys that cover the team that played in the League or not concerned at all. Since the game was over at the half.

I’m pissed at the bad beat. Ugh. Parlayed a cover and the over. Was looking good with 5 minutes to go.

Sounds like Davison got injured fairly badly and had to be helped to the locker room. That’s not a good sign.

Ya 2nd half wasn’t great. Our offense though clearly took the foot off a bit. And our D had a lot of backups in too. So still not a good look anyway. But good, let Texas Tech build their confidence and think we’re vulnerable.

He was limping off per film online, wearing today's uni. Should have never been in at that point.
