So I believe with the upcoming revenue sharing with the athletes, the Courts have said that NIL deals have to specific and can't just be "Billy Booster has 100K for you to go Oregon" but more of a "Killer Burger is offering 25K to be a KB spokesperson" or something more specific to business interests than a straight pay-for-play scheme.
This should be easy enough for a collective like Division Street to deal with. Get ready for a lot of $200k brochure deals.
Also, I heard on the radio that Lanning said late in his post-game presser that Burch actually participated in some parts of practice last week, so maybe he's getting closer to returning.
I honestly couldn't care less about Bedford at this point. The depth would be nice, but our guys have gelled and I couldn't see Bedford playing significant snaps anyway with how well this current group is playing. Is he eligible for a medical redshirt year, or is this it for him?

RUMOR- Word is Bedford had surgery and is done for the year. Anyone else hear this?

I’m having a hard time believing this, while Lanning is very vague and quiet about injuries he usually is transparent when someone is out for the season.
At this point he should shut it down, true or not. He is a SR, why wasted it playing as a backup for a couple game. He could get a medical waiver and start every game next year.

I wonder if NIL is affected when these transfer guys are out for the season. Fans here don't really know Bedford, so he can't be making much from an organic use of his name, image, and likeness. I readily admit I don't really understand how the money works, but is it possible that Coach Lanning thinks he would be damaging their monetizing by saying they are out for the season? Anyway, I tend to believe the rumor, Lanning's reticence notwithstanding.

I've been struggling to see how revenue share - if paired with a salary cap - would prevent booster money from entering college athletics. If Oregon has a salary cap of $10MM, but Pat Kilkenny wants a QB to come here, what stops him from entering into an "endorsement deal" that pays that kid to secure his talents? I feel as though a lot of people assume it will just immediately turn into the pro game, but the illustrious history of college NIL and bag men make me think it's not that straightforward, and is very unlikely to happen overnight.

Valid point Buckmark and maybe that is happening or has happened.
Dan was asked on Monday night about that and he said something to the effect that conversations are always happening around this but strongly reiterated that stuff is kept in house. Of course Crepea pressed for details but Dan shut it right down.

Wife had appendicitis and is a nurse, and she put her money on 4-6 weeks for whatever that's worth, haha.
Was it simply removed or did it burst?
I'm no Dr but I just read that if it bursts it's much more serious than just having it removed. That's actually life threatening.
Nurse here, a burst appendix needs to be addressed quickly but its easily treated with antibiotics or at worst a washout and antibiotics in addition to any surgery to deal with the organ itself. Laparoscopic modern appendix surgery involved making several (depends on the procedure style) small incisions across the abdomen and robotically going in and removing the organ. Usually the hopsital stay (especially for someone young) is just a day. You cant do heavy lifting for a week to two after the procedure. The big thing is to give the sutures time to resorb as those incisions are across your abdominal muscles and the last thing you want is to tear them open trying to do weightlifting or a hard hit and its no fun breathing after surgery until things heal. 2-6 weeks is possible (3-4 is my guess).
Yeah mine burst when I was younger and was in hospital for like 5 days, but took me about 4 weeks until I was back to normal.
I think after this week that anyone who hasnt played so far can play in every game and get a red shirt since postseason games don't count for eligibility any longer, right?

I don't think it prevents Boosters from giving money, just that to be above board, it's all got to be clearly defined.
The NFLPA splits revenues with the Owners so I think to that end, the revenue sharing will be the same, just without player contracts and instead that extra salary would be from individual NIL sponsorships.
Players that try for under the table deals may find that those promises from boosters may not be kept and that could be a can of worms not worth the hassle too when it comes time for a player/agent to enforce it.

Even after reading your response, it just seems like then we end up back where we started with bag men, now with higher dollars.
