It's just that Oregon hasn't won many games in-conference and lost a couple non-conference ones that were easily winnable.

Now THIS is the Scott McGough that we remember from 2010. Looks like he figured something out during his 5+ innings against Portland on Tuesday.

Now THIS is interesting: with McGough closing out the Beavs today, Boer could theoretically start on Sunday. I think Kuedell is a fine pitcher, but Boer is in another league.
Or, Horton could start Kuedell and just bring in Boer at the first sign of trouble.

Horton seems to think that Oregon has about a 40% chance of making regionals with a win today. I will be shocked if they make it in.

I'd be shocked if we made the Tournament, too. All the conference tournament auto bids would have to go to the favorites, because we'd be on the outer edge of the bubble.

Our Tournament hopes (if we win today) are really going to come down to how high our RPI jumps. We were at #65 after Friday's win, then jumped up to #58 after yesterday. If we can somehow, someway jump into the 40s, we might actually have an argument. Cal got in last year at 29-23 with an RPI in the 40s. We'd be 33-26.
