It seems that Oregon does really well on opening drives and drives ending the half. These are scripted drives that come before any halftime defense adjustments. So I would receive.

I keep meaning to say this, but I think the high volume of back shoulder throws against Oregon State was intentional. Will Stein is just a tier below Dilly in terms of setting up a defense drives and even games in advance, and I think those back shoulder throws were a nugget to get Penny State cornerbacks to play the back shoulder so they can go deep in this one.

I read somewhere that they're only 10-7 overall in whiteout games, but 8-2 in the last 10.

I don't know if either of those is correct, though.

I conducted a deep dive into the white-out games, and the results were underwhelming. Four of the wins in the current six-game streak came against less-than-elite opponents. The white-out games create an outstanding, bowl-game-like atmosphere with a striking visual effect. However, historically, their intimidation factor seems to rely more on typical Big Ten stadium size rather than the white-out itself. Reliable stats on penalties linked to crowd noise are hard to find, but the data suggests the white-out games aren’t consistently more disruptive than regular home games. The concerning trend is that they appear to be recognizing this and are actively working to amplify the noise and intimidation factor.

To be honest, Beaver Stadium is a lot more bark than bite. Granted, I sat in the upper deck where it's least loud, but the age demographics of the Penn State fanbase doesn't lend itself to a whole bunch of screaming fans for four quarters. They're an audience that likes warm milk and the 'good old days,' if you know what I mean. They do have a large student section that can get wild, though.

It sounds like Dan voices the Knight Cancer Institute's commercial "Give Cancer Hell."

I would google "college football buffstreams" or sportsurge

I'm not sure it's a good streaming site but it has worked for me when I need it to. If you can use an ad blocker you should.

At least one of them I'm pretty sure you have look under NFL to find college football games.

Ugh that’s the crowd factor forcing a punt there.

If the Ducks can continue to have 3rd and short, it’s a good thing early. Going to be a great game.
