We've had some extremely talented DBs here at Oregon.

Pretty good list, although when I think of Oregon defense, Rashad Bauman is the first to come to my mind. I would have liked to see him on this list.

DBs are stacked though, so I can see this list having different scenarios.

I think Nick Reed should have made it instead of Honorable Mention..he made at least 1 1st team AA list
I agree with the above person that Bauman should be on there too, I'd also prolly take Byrd over many of the DBs chosen. Yea, I am singling out a lot of newer Ducks, but Byrd was that dude, a bonafide playmaker who led the Pac 10 in interceptions last year.

DB's are way stacked! a trend that is continuing at Oregon! But I would have put Chung on there I think.

DB's very loaded, I think Igor and Reed should be on that list as well.

DBs are definitely stacked and is a crapshoot to choose the best out of them. I love Bauman too but it's hard to put him in front of six Duck All Americans at CB with Mel Renfro, Jim Smith, Chris Oldham, Herman O'Berry, Alex Molden, and George Shaw.

It's cool how every long-term starting QB for the last 12 years makes the offensive list.

I think maybe a more recent guy at TE should've been picked. I have no idea who that guy from the 30's is, but we've had some legit TE's in the last 10 or so years.

A few guys from the 1930's, wow. Now if any poster on this board saw those guys play, that would be extremely impressive.

I still think Dennis was the best QB ever to play at Oregon..had he not tore his ACL, Heisman & NC birth
He was Vince Young-esque that 2007 season. Joey had the better career, but we were amazing that season and it was mainly in fact to DDix.

Can't imagine anyone from a team during the '70's being on that list as the teams were so bad, especially late '70's.

Having been there, Bobby Moore/Ahmad Rashad definitely was as good as any of the best at Oregon... The Ducks would love to have a guy that talented here.

Russ Francis? Unbelieveable measurables, and a great pro career, but his time at Oregon was marred by nagging injuries, and IMO, he never lived up to his potential as a Duck, in football or track. (Part of that could have been due to the quality of coaching, and/or antiquated training regimen.) His senior year of HS (1971), at Pleasant Hill, he ran a 9.5/100 yard dash, high jumped, threw the discus, and set the then national HS record in the javelin, just a few short weeks after first seeing one. He threw it 259'9", a record which stood until 1988. (IIRC correctly, he later hit 263 or so in an AAU meet after graduation... He never approached those numbers as a Duck)

Francis was a phenominal athlete.. He played only 1 season of basketball in HS, and averaged close to 18 points as a 6'6" center/forward, even though he only shot something like 29% from the field.
