Another big recruiting weekend for Oregon next week as two 5* 2023 QBs, Dante Moore and Nicholaus Iamaleava, show up in Eugene for unofficials.

I have to give Kenny Dillingham credit for bringing in major QB recruits for visits this quickly. Very impressive.

Nicholaus Iamaleava is a special player. My favorite recruit of the cycle, the way TMac was for 2022. The long throws are impressive, good touch and accuracy from what looks like a 6’6” 190 pound trebuchet. But what really gets me is the shorter throws, more compact throwing motion, and great velocity. This is an arm that is Justin Herbert-like. He doesn’t have the Herbert build or mobility, but anyone with that type of arm talent is rare. Alabama has been all over him for a while, I don’t want to get too excited.

I agree. Really nice to see us going for the best at QB. Hope it pays off.

Isn't Iuli supposed to be visiting again this weekend? Can't keep track of his timeline of visits. I know they were scheduled to be his last visit, and didn't hear anything about him last weekend. His Twitter timeline seems very pro-Cristobal/Miami. Makes me nervous he's leaning that way. I know a lot of guys have that post-trip high and it's a long way from home from him, but definitely more skeptical about the Ducks' chances after seeing that.

Klemm is at a disadvantage against Mira/Cristobal for having built relationships with guys like Iuli, but they’ve made connections on the West Coast so he’ll be going up against them again. Hopefully Tosh can land an assist.

I really like Iuli, more so than I did this summer. I think he’s got a motor and nastiness to be good on either D or O line.

2023 4-star WR Kyler Kasper also visiting. 6’5” 195 from Arizona, his dad Kevin Kasper played at Iowa and was an athletic freak who spent a few years in the NFL as a WR/KR. Dude still holds the NFL combine record for the shuttle run, 21 years later. 4.44 40 and a 43.5 vertical - his son is 5 inches taller and is a very intriguing prospect.
