Big Ten Predictions Ideas

Post by UOducksTK1 »

New standings are ready: https://ducksattack.com/Predictions/public/index.html

As you all know:
-Lowest week is dropped when tally final scores (Forgives you for missing a week or having a poor week)
-Every game is 1 point (2 points for non-conference close spread, and 2 or 3 points for conference close spread)

I was thinking about giving +2 points to any upset special picks. And I was thinking about having the spread determine this. If any team is a -20 spread or worse, and you pick them to win (and they do), you would get 3 total points (1 for predicting the game right and +2 for any upset special).

Example:
Western Michigan @ Wisconsin (-24)

If you pick Wisconsin and they win, you receive 1 point. But if you pick Western Michigan and they win, you receive 3 points. If your pick is the loser, in either case you get 0 points.

Thoughts?

I like it as long as it isn't too much work for you.

Nope, having an upset winner just means I just have a different input value for that game. No additional work for me.

I also like it, because it gives opportunities for those behind to catch up and gives them something to play for.

I'm all for it. With 18 games a week this is going to get interesting kids...

Sounds good. Week 1 is OPEN. IF you submit your picks more than once, I will take the latest submission.

New rules will apply. Non-conference has SO many picks, so best of luck!
