Re: Heisman Trophy Ceremony
Color me biased, but I think Dillon is the best candidate and _very_ similar to Marcus' Heisman selection, sco Dillon

I definitely felt both Hunter and Jeanty deserved it the most, happy for Hunter though, I thought his speech was great.

I'll go with biased too. I don't think it's just a trend that QB's have dominated the Heisman lately. It is the most consequential position in the sport and Gabriel was the QB for the No.1 team, that shouldn't be just something to disregard. The 4th & 9 pass to Ferg, the TD run against Ohio State, diving on the fumble against Penn State, those were Heisman Moments that Jeanty, Hunter & Ward didn't come close to matching.5$ wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 6:35 pm Color me biased, but I think Dillon is the best candidate and _very_ similar to Marcus' Heisman selection, sco Dillon

And Mario said Cam was the best player he ever coached. I get there's some ‘Hollywood’ to the whole thing but once again Mario shows he has zero finesse and self awareness.

It's extremely odd since he also coached Pro Bowlers/All-Pros at Oregon like Justin Herbert, Penei Sewell, and Jevon Holland. I'd be surprised if Ward has anywhere near the pro career as those guys.lmduck wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 8:51 pm And Mario said Cam was the best player he ever coached. Jeanty is a generational player. Hunter is a really talented athlete who’s a pretty good WR and a below average DB, but when your HC is king of the grifters there’s no telling what you can accomplish.
If our programs main objective was to get a player to win the heisman we could’ve thrown Tez at DB, got him a bunch of snaps, a few picks, and convinced a bunch of casuals that he was worthy of a heisman.
Jeanty was straight up one of the best players we’ve seen in a few years. Too bad.

Might as well just call it the ESPY award if it’s going to go to the most promoted player.

Another objective argument as to why Jeanty should have won it:

Jeanty got robbed. Guy is THE best player in college football this year.
