Not having Bittle tonight might make this a tough one to pull out.

It's okay, they didn't have him last game either.greenyellow wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2025 5:47 pm Not having Bittle tonight might make this a tough one to pull out.

Well that's gonna suck. He's such a presence inside. Is Bilodeau gonna play? I know their tall center took his spot and held his own.

QB11 recently talked about how mid QB’s have their miracle game against Oregon football, well mid shooters seem to have career shooting nights against Oregon. I know Oregon’s defense isn’t amazing but Dailey is not this good. Just keep playing your game Oregon and hope the UCLA luck ends.

Oregon’s offense continues to be one incredibly inconsistent. Dailey is going to run his mouth and continue to take bad shots, he’ll start missing, but the issue is how Oregon goes such long stretches with no offense allowing teams like UCLA to live off of early leads. This offense is painful to watch as there’s no leadership, hardly any movement, and way too many 3’s. Oregon is lucky the UCLA lead is only 9.

At least our rebounding effort is there so far. But
2-10 3point shooting ain’t gonna cut it. Especially when ucla is 4-6…

2 for 15 on threes…. No points in over 6 minutes.
No offense, just jacking up 3s… sigh.

I sometimes wonder why I torture myself watching this Oregon basketball team and this putrid offense, it is really really tough to watch.

Perhaps the biggest issue with the offense is Shelstad. He dribbles and moves the ball around the perimeter way too much and he’s an extremely inconsistent shooter. He also frequently puts teammates in bad position by passing them the ball late in the shot clock forcing them to have to shoot or have a shot clock violation. I know fans love Shelstad and see him as a leader but he’s been causing a lot of the issues with Oregon’s offense.

Why this team continues to get punched hard in the mouth to start games, I just don’t get. They are a terrible shooting team, so I get that. But is it that they can’t play good enough D to cover their offensive inefficiencies at the tip? Or is it lack of coaching scouting on how to best defend the opponent? I can’t really support that. Love my Ducks, but this is a painful team to watch. Wish the Ducks could eventually recruit someone that can consistently hit any jumper.
