Junior Adams leaving for Dallas Cowboys
Only a week after keeping Samples from leaving for Dallas, Oregon will be losing WR coach Junior Adams to the Cowboys. This is a big loss for recruiting and development. They're going to need a big hire to replace Adams now.

I mean we could afford to pay Brennan Marion to leave Sac State IF we wanted too.
We tend to operate by finding next man up though so I highly doubt it will be a huge name and that our NIL will keep players like CHjr interested.

Saw QB11 predict them moving Samples over to WR coach and then hire a new RB coach. Given his previous experience as a WR coach, it's not the worst suggestion and it opens up a lot of options for Lanning.

A good sign of a successful program is that Coaches move on to get promotions, more often than not at different programs. It's something all successful programs deal with

Not the guy you want to leave but that's how it goes sometimes. Not resetting my win expectations because of it.

Wonder what made him jet for the nfl? More pay and not having to deal with recruits?
He seems to have mastered the recruiting and NIL landscape of nowadays. So I always thought we d lose him eventually to a college HC or blue blood OC position.

I feel like for some coaches, NFL is that national progression in growth.lmduck wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2025 10:43 amGuessing he felt it was an opportunity he just could not pass up at this point in his career.alxtw wrote:Wonder what made him jet for the nfl? Samples at WR coach would be super interesting. It is possible we lose a few guys at WR now, but I trust the coaches to retain most guys.

Re: Junior Adams leaving for Dallas Cowboys
Anyone that was a Junior Adams guy in this class and last year's class. No specifics, but usually when someone like Adams leaves, a recruit or two goes too.
The good thing is he isn't going to a different college where he could potentially be followed.
