Really feels like this won't be a contest with how Indiana is playing.

Meh, don’t want Mario win, and don’t want Indiana to win one already.

I will enjoy watching Indiana embarrass Miami. Although it hurts me to say that Miami probably will have more success than we did offensively against Indiana, with their much better OL and creative ways to use Toney in space.

I’ll be rooting for Miami… it’s hard to imagine them, or anyone for that matter, looking worse than we did last night.
Cristobal ditching us really hurt but I genuinely liked him and his emphasis on the trenches and overall toughness. It’s cool seeing all that in this Miami team. It’s a very “Mario” team, which is fun.

I hate to tell Indiana…and my fellow Duck fans this. But Mario teams don’t have their will broken…unless their coach is leaving and they all know it but the fanbase doesn’t. That was Utah 2x. That’s it.
They will make stupid mistakes, they will piss down their legs at times, and they will not be up for certain games against inferior opponents.
But IU thrives on breaking you like a Terminator. Relentless, won’t stop coming and they get to you over and over. Mario teams welcome that and want a street fight in a phone booth.
IU will win because they don’t make mistakes. But they are not going to “spider-monkey” Miami like they did tOSU, Bama and Oregon.

Only thing worse than losing in the semis is losing in the semis and Mario winning a championship.

It hurt really bad seeing that in person, but. Not a single Indiana fan was rude, rubbed it in. They were simply happy for their team. They were magnanimous in victory. It sucks as we ant to be where Indiana is but it is what it is. It took a while to heal after that loss but I think Indiana winning is the best result possible here.

Very similar to when Indiana won at Autzen. I was almost bothered at how little smack was being talked by them.Zyme wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 9:36 am It hurt really bad seeing that in person, but. I guess when you're the worst team in D1 college football history, you learn to be humble.

Hopefully he leaves his starters in all game like he did against Oregon. Didn’t mind Mario when he got here but the way he left( using Oregons plane for his interview) left a bad taste. At least he’s learned to get out of his offensive coordinators way.

Seems like our former coaches learn valuable lessons AFTER they leave Oregon. It would be weird to have the last two national champions have former Oregon coaches on staff (Chip as OC and Mario as HC).duckfan96 wrote:Hopefully he leaves his starters in all game like he did against Oregon. Miami trying their best to live up to their past. Anyone else notice how, on nearly every play they are throwing in extra "stuff" after every play? While I wanted to wipe that smirk off Cignitti's face, I am now rooting for them. The Indiana players are not taking the bait and reacting to the unnecessary "business" they are dealing with.

Miami's D is no joke. They are better than us. Hope half of them get drafted so we won't have to face them next year.

I thought for sure the Miami OLine could handle Indiana’s front seven. I think the reality is Indiana ended up being far more talented than we all thought, combine that with their chemistry and superior coaching, they have become unbeatable. Not sure if it’s luck or amazing scouting but did not think Indiana would be this dominant in the trenches.
