It’s a head scratcher that they all seem to think, from everything I’ve read, that this is a pre-ordained win, based on the transitive property of sports… i.e. they gave IU a good game and blew out Wiscy, so clearly they are better than Oregon.

I imagine Dan is piling all this wood into the fire.
I wonder if any of them have considered that maybe the Ducks learned from their mistakes in the Indiana game.

Or maybe that our game against Wisconsin was played in an intense rain storm, as well as losing our star QB for most of the second half?

Oh, and the fact that they only beat Rutgers on the road 38-28, where Oregon beat them on the road 56-10?

I can understand a good team and their fans having confidence. We do. But cocky would be stupid on the team's part and I can't image a veteran coach like Kirk Ferentz would allow his team to be stupid like that.

Take the field, execute the game plan, make adjustments, as needed, play hard, and let the dominoes fall as they will.

I noticed this too. Looks like rain and possibly 30's. Unpleasant for players. Really unpleasant for fans. I know Iowa is a running team, but so is Oregon, and putting a damper on fan activity seems like advantage Ducks. Win ugly, survive and advance.

Wisconsin sucks 8-)
Yeah, maybe. We've seen them in the Rose Bowl twice in the last 15 years and they gave the Ducks a really good game both times. You know, the Rose Bowl - it's this game they play every January in Pasad...never mind, it's not that important. Anyway, I imagine most Oregon fans have some residual respect for the Badgers as a result and beating them still seems like an accomplishment.

On3 now reporting Dakorien tore his ACL in freakin practice and that Harkey is out. Sadiq and Davison are expected to play.

Anyone who doubts Oregon is cursed is delusional.

I still think we can win tomorrow, but clearly any real contention hopes are toast if we can't stretch the field.

For B1G conference games, teams submit an updated injury report (availability) two hours before kickoff (well, AI at least says so).

The B1G availability website has only the friday game (NW/USC) with names filled in, the other 6 games are currently all blank (as of 4:30am PST).

Boy would it really suck for Oregon to lose Moore and Harkey when they really need them. Evan Stewart can't get back fast enough. All of these injuries in one week makes me question how the team practices coming off a bye week as it's almost inexcusable to lose that many key guys in short order.

I remember Ohio state beating UO with a 3rd string qb in the natty. Michigan lost two starters in the secondary in 24, and had muktiple starting OL kiss games. Ohio st lost their best OT for the year last year. But yes, Oregon is the only team to get injuries, everyone else stays healthy.

Again, the injury rumors are bogus.

Regarding the weather, I just read that they're expecting temps in the 50's with 10-15 mph winds and up to 1/4 inch of rain.

Oregon football weather.
