Interesting tidbit: Lanning's record as HC is now 46-7 - the exact mark reached by Chip Kelly before he departed for the NFL.

Assuming they don’t back into a bye, which I don’t think will happen, it’ll be either the 19th or 20th.

That's going to depend on the seeding and whether or not the Ducks are in the top 4. If they are they get a bye in the first round, I believe.

Quick thoughts:

Defense played pretty well. Matayo is getting pressure but his stat column is a bit empty. Defensive players were able to almost bring Williams down but Williams is a slippery guy and he managed to slip away. Defense gave up some plays but that's bound to happen. Flowers continues to punish people and I like it.

Not sure what to make of the offense. As much as I gripe about Stein, the slow start had more to do with player error. Sadiq dropped some uncharacteristic balls and Moore didn't help him out since the balls were usually behind Sadiq on multiple drops. I am impressed that we pulled out the win since we basically only have 1 WR (Benson) making plays. McClellan is a factor but he was fairly quiet. They're using Sadiq as a WR more often than not but he had a few drops. Johnson is becoming a factor too. Would be really nice to have our 3 WR's back for the playoff run. They are badly needed.

UW defended the run well. I always get a bit uncomfortable when Moore has to run the ball. He doesn't seem very durable. Harkey is more "feisty" with his blocks.

If it weren't for some dropped balls, I feel like that game could've been an absolute blowout

Completely guessing here, but those drops by Sadiq came after he got banged up on the extension catch out of bounds, so I wonder if he was short arming balls as a result of not feeling right.

Very enjoyable game. I didn't care if they won by 1, given the playoff implications. All the options after a win over UW are attractive. We could get a first-round bye, but I wouldn't mind a home game against Alabama or Oklahoma (or North Texas). Almost no chance Oregon does worse than that. I'm not even spooked by an early matchup with Ohio State; gotta play them eventually. Doesn't even matter that they didn't play their best game; not expected with all the injuries.
I wasn't even that unhappy with the reffing, except for McClellan's catch. Why should it matter that he cradled the ball against the helmet instead of any other part of his uniform?

Gotta give props to Sappington. He has been money this year, as well as setting a career high this game. Without his leg, this is a different game. Special teams has been special this year.

Still have no clue how they didn't rule this a catch after review. He's got control and the ball didn't even move when it hit the ground. Impressive strength from McClellan to do all of that one-handed.

Yeah, it was complete BS that wasn't a catch. Even Sterritore said it was a catch on the broadcast. The refs overall weren't as bad as last week, although it's still amazing how few holds get called on other teams against us and the PI on Ify was again horse manure.

Anyway, Huck The Fuskies, Go Ducks!

Another amazing season! Very blessed. One of these years, we are going to take it down. Beating Ohio State is going to be tough for ANYBODY this year, but I'll put us right there with Indiana and Georgia as the teams that have the best shot!

Just got home from a long day! Drove to Seattle last night and got to go to the game. I haven’t watched a replay yet but some random thoughts:

-Duck fans were loud! Husky fans were very annoyed with us but we didn’t care.

-I randomly met Dillon Thieneman’s mom at a restaurant in downtown Seattle for breakfast, she was super nice! She said he’d get a pick six, and while it wasn’t a pick six, it was cool to see him get the pick to seal the game.

-I can’t decide who is more clutch and who has saved our season more, Malik Benson or Atticus Sappington, they’re both clutch!

-Moore is great, and had a solid performance, but no doubt he needs another year to work on progression. He missed quite a few wide open guys today. In one play in which I think it was a failed 3rd down pass, Johnson was completely unguarded and was wide open for a TD and Moore didn’t look his way, Johnson was jumping up and down out of frustration after the play. Some similar plays where guys were open but he either tried to force it to his first read or just didn’t see him. If he improves his progression he’ll be the best QB in the nation next year.

-Weird off game for Sadiq, not sure why, had a couple drops but did make some solid key blocks. But in the passing game he didn’t play his best.

-Offense still has weird execution issues that keeps us from getting in the endzone, but thankfully Sappington kept those drives as scoring drives and not scoreless drives!

-I was surprised to hear that 26 is the most points the Huskies have given up this season, they have a really good defense, and if Oregon was healthy and executed, they would’ve dropped 45+. The Oregon offense has a very high ceiling.

-Canady is freakin amazing! What an amazing portal grab along with Benson. That pick he has was super impressive and in a very key moment that kept the Huskies from getting any momentum.

-Defense overall was really good, and shouldn’t complain, but another 4th down collapse on that second Huskies TD, no clue what happened there but Boston should be nowhere near that open when we’re only rushing 3 on 4th and 8. The defense needs to be better on key 4th downs.

-It wasn’t pretty or perfect, but always fun to beat the Poodles and punch a ticket to the playoffs! That was a really fun game to be at!

I couldn't agree Moore!!!
His arm is something else, the passes he is able to make are next level at times, but then you watch the post game pod casts and see his incredible 8 yard side arm pass for the 1st down, good as that was, when they break the film down there are open receivers streaking uncovered to the end zone he didn't even see. Kid was smart enough to sit behind Dillion and learn for a year, I think its likely he comes back realizing he needs more work.
