How many chances can our offense get? If they don’t capitalize here and we have have a halftime score of 3-0 just send Stein to Kentucky at halftime.

TT is known for relentless and overpursuit.
Stein is trying to set them up to take advantage of it, as Palmer has pointed out.
At some point we’re gonna have to start taking points.

So, go to the 2 minute warning and then run the ball

How about if you have a good QB and receivers the opponent can’t cover just attack them, why “set them up”? Just take advantage of superior talent, doesn’t seem too complicated to me.bdkipe wrote:TT is known for relentless and overpursuit.

We are so close to blowing them out. So close.

Hopefully we throw another screen in the redzone. Those have been working really well.

TT’s D has to be breathing heavy. Gut them up the middle as many times as it takes to push it in.

Defense is balling. Need to make TT pay more than we have. TT will come out much stronger offensively 2nd half. Hope is defensively they wear down at this point.

If Oregon takes a 10-0 lead into halftime with a tired Tech defense, I will be happy.

The DB's and Defense have rules that the play by for each down/distance scenario for the formation.OregonFan4Life wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 11:18 am

You have to break those rules on the Defense, the only problem is that if we don't run the fake screen and go deep to Benson on those plays, we're at risk of a turnover happening if we keep at it.

They were saying the Tech band was blowing a fake whistle when Oregon took the timeout

I don't mind that we ran the ball on 3rd down but why hurry up?
Bleed the damn clock out

Yeah, the set-up myth is nonsense. If you have a clear advantage, you attack it and get points until the other team stops it. Avoiding something that’s obviously working and will get you points so you can potentially set up a single TD play later in the game is ridiculous.OregonFan4Life wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 11:18 amHow about if you have a good QB and receivers the opponent can’t cover just attack them, why “set them up”?
