Moore needs to add a few pounds! He'll get crushed in the NFL with a crap team. He's only 20 years old

Per espn Oregons first shutout of a AP ranked team since 2012. Oregon was playing a top 10 team for the 113th time and for the first time allowed zero points

Shout out to Jerry Mixon. His best game along with the game against Northwestern. The defensive line was good but benefited from great coverage so they could get time to get to Morton, so huge congrats to the secondary and linebackers. They also were terrific in run support. The tight ends and receivers had another fantastic ballgame, even if the scores doesn't necessarily show it. Shout out to Sappington for hitting those early FGs because this game could've gone differently without the momentum. And then last shout out is for the whole team playing clean football. Three penalties for 25 yards, so gotta like that.

I’m glad you mentioned Mixon! He played a fantastic game.StevensTechU wrote:Shout out to Jerry Mixon. His best game along with the game against Northwestern. The D played lights out today! I agree receivers played well, oline and RB’s had a tough time but TT’s D line and LB’s are very good. Dante played like he could really use another year, he was off his game.

I saw reports that the Cincinnati QB was headed to TTUStevensTechU wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 1:20 pm How much do you all think Texas Tech's boosters are going to spend on a quarterback for next year?

Is there any chance the offensive play calling was so blah/predictable/not optimal because Lanning knew our D would win this and we were trying to not put more on film for Indiana/Alabama?
Willie Taggart is a dick.

It’s possible? But this felt like a pretty even game going into it. I don’t think anyone expected TTU to score 0 points. Keep in mind this was a one score game until 11 minutes left in 3rd quarter.pezsez1 wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 2:42 pm Is there any chance the offensive play calling was so blah/predictable/not optimal because Lanning knew our D would win this and we were trying to not put more on film for Indiana/Alabama?
I think we were just stubborn with the run game no matter what. And it backfired a lot on us.

Meh, idk, I think if anything Lanning.Stein didn’t trust our tackles to give Moore enough protection to get the ball out.pezsez1 wrote:Is there any chance the offensive play calling was so blah/predictable/not optimal because Lanning knew our D would win this and we were trying to not put more on film for Indiana/Alabama?

I still feel like two things can be true.
TT is the BEST front 7 in college football and they brought it. We also have a very capable, explosive offense who can play in a physical game. 300+ yards with another 100+ on the table against this team in these stakes is a decent showing.
We won 1/3 of the reps, they won 1/3 of the reps and the other third we were doing unforced mental errors so there was no chance to see which team won the rep as it played out.
I think that we gambled the east-west stuff would wear their D out quicker but it strangely didn’t. Still, they started getting gashed (by their standards) north-south in the final quarter.

Is there a chance that the tech defense was a good as advertised? The Ducks offense kept hurting themselves when they had long drives. You sound like OF4L. The Ducks have gone 25-2 over the last 2 seasons, with top 10 offenses both seasons. Bad games happen, but for some reason certain people in here want to blame the OC.pezsez1 wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 2:42 pm Is there any chance the offensive play calling was so blah/predictable/not optimal because Lanning knew our D would win this and we were trying to not put more on film for Indiana/Alabama?
